Luisa Bracci

Degree in Biology obtained in 1981. From 1984 to 1986 she worked at the Centro Ricerche Sclavo. PhD in Animal Biology obtained in 1989. From 1990 to 2000, biologist at the Molecular Biology Department of the University of Siena. From 1998 to 2000, member of the Administration Board of the University of Siena. Since November 2000 she has been Full Professor of Biochemistry at the School of Medicine at the University of Siena. She chaired the Didactical Board of the Biotechnology course of the University of Siena.

She is author of more than 50 scientific papers published in international journals. Her scientific activity is on design and construction of biomolecules for diagnostic and therapeutic use. She holds 4 patents on synthetic peptides for therapy.

She is member of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the European Peptide Society and of the Società Italiana di Biochimica e Biologia Molecolare.
